3 p.m. | Q&A and audience feedback -- As this script is being finalised, Joanna is keen to hear your thoughts. She can also offer insight about the writing process and about Regency context, and the actors can also share their perspectives. |

What is a dramatic reading?
A cast of professional and amateur actors will perform Joanna Norland's hour-long adaptation, script-in-hand, before a live audience. The performance will be lightly staged, with simple costume, music and movement, creating a fresh, spontaneous and engaging experience. Following the reading, stay for a quarry-side chat to ask questions and share your thoughts. We value your feedback on the experience and the performance!
How do I get to the Quarry?
The Quarry at Jollys Farmhouse is approximately 50 minute’s walk from Robertsbridge Station or a 20 minute walk from Salehurst Church. You can walk along roads all the way or follow a footpath route that you can view for free on footpathmap.co.uk
Limited parking is available in a roadside field, approximately five minutes' walk from The Quarry. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to shared vehicles and those with mobility issues. We will send a map and parking instructions to guests who have been allocated a parking space.

What should I bring?
Picnic
Picnic blanket or camping chair
Sturdy, enclosed footwear suitable for uneven ground
Weather-appropriate clothing
Drinking water (a limited supply will be available on site)
Any medication you may require
Basic facilities, including a compost toilet, are available.
The event is primarily intended for adults and young people aged 12 and over.
What do I need to know about weather & safety?
As this is an outdoor event, we may need to cancel or postpone if weather conditions make it unsafe to proceed.
If this happens, all registered guests will be contacted as soon as possible using the details provided when booking.
The Quarry at Jollys Farmhouse is a natural outdoor venue with uneven ground, woodland paths, loose stones and sloping terrain.
Please remain within the designated event area and follow any instructions given by the organisers.
Children and young people remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times.
Whilst we have taken reasonable steps to make the venue as safe as practicable, all visitors are expected to take reasonable care for their own safety and that of those accompanying them.
Do I need a ticket?
Yes! It's free, but there is limited space, so we will allocate tickets and parking first come first serve.
