July Coaching Nugget

Every month, I post a nugget from one my coaching sessions.
I hope this one serves you today.

Ten minutes of writing a day – every day, no exceptions. It’s the bedrock of my writing practice, and the practice I teach.
Short enough to be doable and long enough to keep you feeling like a writer all the the time.
It primes your subconscious to simmer and sift through your experiences as you move through your day, and to sculpt your work while you sleep.
When you lay out a daily welcome mat for inspiration, sometimes, surprise visitors show up and a quick coffee break becomes a party. The ten minutes you struggled to fit in stretch outwards, as you find new ways to channel your to-dos around the contours of your inner life.

I guide writers and writers-to-be of all stripes to establish a daily practice and bring their dream projects into the world through Write Now, my 10-week development program.
Next cadence starts Tuesday, September 29. Contact me to join the waiting list -- or to schedule a complimentary 1-1 to talk about getting your ideas out of your head, onto the page and into the world right away.
