Write Now is a 10-week development program designed for writers at heart everywhere, whatever your experience level, if you:

✏️ Have a dream project you wish to create.

✏️Wish to feel like a writer, and make writing a vibrant part of your life.

✏️Struggle to get going or to sustain momentum.

✏️Are ready to commit to writing 10 minutes a day, plus a one hour a week.

Write Now serves writers of fiction, non-fiction, screenplays, poetry, Substacks, and just about anything else you wish to get out of your head, onto the page and into the world.

You will set an audacious 10-week writing goal for yourself, and work toward it with the support of our community, by grooving in a robust writing habit. These three ingredients - goals, community and habit -- nourish a flourishing "writer's ecosystem" that allow the magic to ignite.

All sessions are provided online, with replays, so that you can catch up or re-listen at your convenience.

I developed the Write Now process to transform my own grinding writers' block into a purposeful, prolific practice. Now, I marvel at the work my students create, the lives they build, and the happiness they experience as a result.

Write in Ten was nothing less than transformative & I am eternally grateful for the support & inspiration Jo & our community provided throughout. The Land Beyond the Forest is now out there in the world as a direct result of the course xx

Ellie Zeegen, Founder of Firebrand Theatre

The play she wrote during her 10-week development program premiered at the Duns Festival, Scotland, May, 2026.

I am so thrilled . . . to have made progress on my novel project, pulling together a lot of scenes and research to finish a first draft. Joanna provides the structure and guidance to keep creatives on task. The weekly write-ins introduced me to other authors and kept me focused on meeting my goals. Daily, there were great discussions on our group What's App. We had different projects, in various stages of completion, but were all facing many of the same challenges. I learned how to conquer obstacles from my fellow classmates (and their resource suggestions) in addition to Joanna's thoughtful feedback. Write in Ten has convinced me that having the right resources, a plan, and a community are what it takes to keep momentum going!

Being prompted to write every day on Jo’s 10-week online course woke me from apathy. Encouraged to start with just ten minutes, some of us made plans to follow. For me, instead of a plan, I developed an appetite, such that a day without writing now seems flat and unsatisfying!

The main thing I feel much happier! Being/discussing/reading with other writers.

— Alison Noyes, writer and visual artist
